Blaise & AcmeLabz present:

GENESIS 2002

This is our time.

It is the time of sonicly empowered emotions, pounding tribal
drums and people who greet each other with their hearts rather than the
judgement of their eyes.
We make headline news with our massive ‘all night parties’. We
dress outlandishly on occasion to affirm, with others, our religious
dedication to the Church of The Almighty Bassline. We suffer the
stereotypes of a racial minority and are branded a drug culture….
…and all we ask is for a space to dance and be decent to each other.

Techno is changing us all in ways we never imagined.

Join Blaise and AcmeLabz as we bring in 2002 the way it should be:
with a psychotic burst of positive energy and three decks of the deepest
driving, hard, funky-assed techno this planet has to offer.

Elektra >>[lush, london] *3 decks + synth set
Erwin J >>[phryl / satantechno, hamilton]
The Dukes >>[acmelabz / 2am / twelveinch.com]
tommysmalls >>[acmelabz / saturntech]
Bryce Walker >>[acmelabz / saturntech]

10pm-6am
tickets at event ONLY.
Limited capacity – be early!

Thank you Adam for the introductory info!

We hope all of the tech-heads on the Tribe board and all their friends can come out for a fabulous night of great music, talented dj's, friends and drinks. Please spread the word!

....oh yeah, it's the most reasonably priced event out there...more money for drinks or that funky new NYE outfit or new dancing shoes or a foot massage (for the next day after dancing all night...you'll need one!)

^^^So are we, but we're going!
(i guess we have to though, as it's our event!)

Rosey: yes, we are also playing another party that night - two different types of crowds & two very different sets! This is the party where we'll REALLY get to rock out though...

@m.... point me in the direction of the party with the most dirty, pounding techno.

I also told myself that I was going to see Kenny Glasgow drop his set at LIFE... but I'm still waiting to find out what and when he's spinning.

Plus, with crowds and high priced admission, who knows what's gonna happen !

For the most part... I just wanna hear some fucking killer techno that's gonna have me bumpin' !

@m... help a brotha out.

Patrick, if you really want to mainline a kilo of bad ass techno, then you should be at THIS party. Kenny will rock no doubt, but add in a $$$high$$$ priced ticket, no ventilation, and a whole lot of music that you DON'T want to hear (ie. cheeseball house), i think you'll find that this party is where your brothers and sisters of like-minded thoughts and positive energy will be lettin' loose!
I also promise that no security guard will grab you by the neck for your hobbies.

^^^ I can't wait! And for reasons like this!:

Elektra

Monika Janekova, the techno vixen known as Elektra, has music in her bloodstream.
With over 10 years of training as a classical pianist, and having studied piano at some of the top schools in North America, Elektra is as much technically entranced by music as she is emotionally. Discovering techno through the old Morpheus parties in London, she found a way to use her classical knowledge on piano and fuse it with a more modern and open-minded form of music: techno. This passion has developed into a fiery talent behind the wheels of steel and fuels her lively performances where she quite literally dances with the mixer, engaging crowds with more playful energy than just about any dj out there.
Elektra has played in techno’s mecca: the Tresor Club in Berlin (home to the longest operating international techno label, Tresor) and will be returning overseas to Europe this summer while touring with legendary Detroit dj Alan Oldham, aka T-1000. Hard at work on original material, she is also orchestrating her first large-scale mix cd, out on respected techno label Pure Sonik, in the upcoming future.

Monika will be gracing us with a very special dj set on three turntables and a synthesizer that she will be touring overseas with this summer. Don’t miss out!!!

2 more sleeps (for those who work nights, and are insomniacs) :d

I can't wait to hear Elektra. If she's as good as described I may have to change my DJ name to Daredevil!!

Peace,
