Why has there been no post about this?

I want to know what people think.
Is this it? Has Numark really come up w/ a Turn table that is going to replace the 1200s?
Has anyone had a chance to see or play w/ one of these turn tables?

Personally I think that the TTX1 stands for "Tech Twelve killer 1"
The first version of a turntable that has the chance to beat the 1200s.

They look kinda cool but Technics got it right the first time. Many have come and tried to usurp the King and they all have failed!

looks interesting... but more gimmicks and toys means either way more cash or shoddy parts/construction or a combination of the two...

i don't think any turntable will be replacing tech 1200s as the club standard anytime soon.

if it ain't broke don't fix it - tech12's can survive a bomb blast and still last.

all these fancy shmancy new tables are great (numark, vestax), but they still aren't as rock solid and reliable and precise as a well maintainted tech12.

not only that, you can turn around and sell your 10 year old tech 12 for the same price you paid for it - i don't you can say that about any other piece of electronics - except ones that are discontinued.

What about those new Vestex decks?

Just curious, I know a couple guys who swear by them..

I think the Vestax deck is great but I'd only buy a Vestax over a 1200 for the reverse function. 2 of the same records, 1 forward one reverse can make for a fun effect.

The Numark looks great, but I don't judge until I've had my hands on one. I tend to agree with some of the previous posts about the bells and whistles. It's just more essentially unnecessary stuff that could break. And breaking means fixing and fixing means $$$.

i'm pretty sure long&mcquade has the vestax tables...not sure about the numark ones but i think so...spoke to the guy at the store about it, and his opinion was pretty much the same: if you've got 1200's, keep 'em. but all the same, for some really long rides, that quartz lock makes me drool....
