if you're a dj who likes your shit on the deeper/ jazzier/ souful end of the house scale i may have some spots available (earlier opening spots in case you're wondering) for the upcoming DuMaurier Jazz Festival Nightlife Series (June 20th to the 29th) featuring some of this city's finest underground DJs spinning jazzy electro, neo-soul, acid jazz and soulful house.
the headliners are already pretty much a lock with one or two spots still needing to be confirmed but there will be quite a few earlier spots available for those interested in being a part of this. pm me with your particulars if your interested and think you have what it takes.

I know it's a little late, but I figured you guys might enjoy some chill, jazzy tunes to rock out to on a summer afternoon...

That lineup is awesome! I can't wait to go.

Cheers,

lol

kenny or louie? ha ha

believe me... if i could pull together that kind of $$ i would, but right now it would be prohibitive cost-wise. i'm sure you are well aware of the astronomical booking fees big name djs charge.

... but then again...you never know.

Support for what? That list of dj's could have been pulled off the wall from the same kind of event from 5 years ago. How can you expect to attract new and old faces if you are using the same dj's that play all the time? You obviously didn't do very much work compiling that list and I'm pretty disappointed. That's what I assumed your post on this board was all about. I love house music outdoors but I also like variety in my djs. I don't see any variety on that list.

Despite what your best friend DJ Kneepads had to say about me, you should pay attention to what your possible clientele is saying.

fleaflo... point taken. unfortunately, people are going to be dissapointed regardless of what type of lineup is put together. you can't please everyone. also, i resent your remark about how much work has been put into this series and the selection of the lineup... please don't speculate. there are many factors that had to be considered when selections were made. on the other hand you and everyone else is entitled to their individual preferences right?

a point can also be made for the DJs in the lineup as being DJs that people DO want to hear. maybe that's the reason they are DJs that play all the time and have been doing so for some time?

as for your opinion and the opinion of others, ALL are always taken into equal consideration. the bottom line: events are for the enjoyment of the people who attend them.
