Do any of you know about this program??? It's installed on the computers at school and it makes it very difficult to install any programs that require a restart to update windows so the changes take effect.
How do I go about installing a program that would require a restart???

Thanks,

Kyle

When it asks you if you want to restart ... just click no ... then the changes should come into effect next time you start up the computer ... but I may be way off

Stu,

I try that, but when I restart the computer it resets the hard drive to the image that is loaded 'under' Ghost. If I try to run the program it prompts me to restart and says that the program will not run without a restart.

Try to uninstall the Norton's program ... install your program ... then re-install Norton's
Liek I said before ... I may be way off here

They have this feature where I work.

It's a repetitive and time-consuming job, but it can be done. You have to unfreeze the program, you will need the password, then install, then reboot 2wice, then as you load up you have to wait for the 3 dots, and then press F1, then refreeze the program by putting in the password, and you're done.

GOT THAT??

If what djcyclone said doesn't apply to your situation, try editing the autoexec.bat, chances are that's whats being used to ghost the HDD from an image on the server somewhere..
