music wise when will they clash,

the party scene has grown so much in North America, when will it take over and begin influencing Europe and Asia? or has it already?

the UK has alway had a stranglehold on the next big thing and ran with it, do you feel that has changed?

Europe still influences North American styles alot. I don't see a head on class but rather a sharing of ideas. Where breaks will grow in North America, Electro will grow in europe. But then we will eventually have alot of Electro Breaks :D

Right now, I don't think North America has done enough to consider themselves the "influence" (that would be a cool dj name!!)

on the whole....

even our styles tend to come from Europe first... but we have done our part in North America. Toronto for example, has its world famous jungle scene, and we should be proud of that. Time will tell though, Europe has experienced cultural diversity for many more years than N. America has, which has undoubtedly had its 'influence'. As more and more cultures combine in N. America we may see a growth of 'influence', but who really knows. Also, some say (i wasnt around then) that the early Toronto party scene is based more on the California scene...

One thing is for sure, if you want to go hear the best breakbeats, you go to England. In my opinion.

Oh ya the post

Europe: Culture, social life, intangables, better extras at work -vacations and what not

North America: Tangibles, cheaper prices, better career, more selection in goods

One millimeter outside the small boundaries of electronica, north america (ahem.. well, the US) already totally dominates the airwaves of europe. Overall, NA has much, much more (contemporary) musical influence over Europe than vice-versa.
