well, what did u guys think of it?

i thought it went pretty well. only two complaints though. one: it was like a sauna in both rooms. and second: the sound system was terrible especially in the upstairs room. if u wanted any music u had to be right next to a speaker. the deacon spun a hype hardcore set that got me jumping. the sos vs dominik team set was pretty sick too
overall it was a good party. didnt see too many sketched put people sitting in the middle of the floor.

Well, I would have to say that I was a little disapointed with this party. First there was a line-up for about a little over an hour, and that wouldn't have been so bad but the people in the cash line didn't get a chance to get in at all because they over packed the Tropicana.

When we were allowed in we had to go to the fourth floor and were denied access to the third which meant that if you went to see Rowland the Bastard you had to wait until people left the floor to be allowed in to the room.... each floor was incredibly boiling hot and there was water dripping from the ceilings. Security was a bitch when you walked in yelling commands at you on the stairwell, and people in general were just seeming to ba a little agressive in general, including myself.

The strange thing was there was a pregnant woman there... at least 4-5 months.. WTF??? it was strange to see....

The music iteslef would have been 100% better to enjoy if the entire atmosphere would have been more comfortable... it is difficult to dance when it is a sauna in the room and there are people completely surrounding you allowing for minimal space.

Sorry Nightmare, but a party with so much potential wound up being shaky and deffinitely uncomfortable. Perhaps better planning next time so that there isn't an overflow of people and capacity isn't surpassed....

Ok this was like the bombest bday present i could ask for. NIGHTMARE once again did not let me down, and for that i am ever so greatful, and still/always a devoted fan to your promotions.

First off... i agree the sound upstairs was sub-par, i heard it was technical problems of some sort they were having. But i must say that in the mainroom (lowerlevel) our boys at ACS blew shit up once again, along with my eardrums! Standing in the middle of the room, was just pure, loud motherfucking C L A R I T Y. wikkid wikkid sounds.

Was it hot in there? I hadn't noticed

And yeah, it was raining quite a bit, but only near the bar in the mainroom.. everywhere else was decent. (when you're covered head to toe in sweat, a little bit of falling condensation(sp?) doesn't bother me)

At times it was crowded, and getting around was kind of a pain in the ass, but if you actually TOOK TO THE DANCEFLOOR, there was ample room to dance, and i never really had a problem with space last night.

As for the music, well, i'm only going to review ONE Dj from the entire night... because no other set had as much hype and gave me as much pleasure as the one like U N I B O M B E R ! ! ! Once again, along with nightmare, UNiBOMBER is one man i know i can put my money on and have a GOOD time. This guy has never to date let me down and last night was no exception. Blowing shit up with the evilest darkest hardtechno you could only find at nightmare. On top of that, this man really get's into his set and his energy is very contageous. How could i have not have met him yet?!

Meh.
It was an alright party...but definatly some room for improvment..
first I was immediatly bitter by the fact that we were waiting in that damn lineup for over an hour. Then when we got in all the rooms were closed because the place was too packed and you were forced to go only to one room. Not only were we in this room..but the soundsystem was having some issues. The speakers up by the DJ would play the beat, then the speakers in the back of the room would play that same beat two beats later...if that makes sense...if you were in that room you'd know what I'm talking about...
However, I waited all nite to hear Jason Marshall, and he didn't disappoint...amazing set, as usual...he was definatly worth staying for...

Thanks to Meghin, Jo, Mike, Matt and Jon for making the nite not as bad as it could've been... you guys are awesome..

I had no problem with security. They did a great job, and weren't snotty about it.

good music and good friends. all the DJs i heard played very well.

the main floor's system was booming and i forgot my earplugs! wanh wanh. you could play anything on that system and it would bang. the upstairs setup sucked ass though. i'm sure that'll be fixed in the future though.

i thought security did a great job. yeah, they yell but it's usually cuz no one's listening in the first place.

Well...I'm still pretty tired from a hectic weekend....Saturday night started off with some beers @ echo's house, which was definetely a wicked time...itwas great to see a bunch of tbk there too...
I went from a party where I felt kindof a youngish, to a party where I felt like an old man...standing in line, I knew it would be a sketchy party...I felt like I needed to show my student card @ the door, since it was a high school dance and all

the lineup wasn't too bad, I waited for about half an hour - but it wasn't too cold, and the fact that it was the first real lineup I've had to stand in all winter made it bearable...
Overall, I had a really wicked time - although this didn't really have much to do w/ the music @ first...I was dissapointed w/ Rowland the Bastard's set - the last few times I've seen him he was quite a bit more evil and hard...I'm also not a big fan of hardcore - and this night was no exception...Everytime I made the mistake of wating in line to go upstairs, I'd be back downstairs within a few minutes with a headache...However, The two set's that stood out for me definetely made up for my previous discomfort's...first off was Unabomber - when he came on, I was expecting to just ride his setout unitil thejungle came on...but this madman came out in full force, sporting a cowboy hat, and generally going nuts behind the decks...he pulled out some of the darkest evilest techno one could've hoped for, and the entire room was going insane...set of the night by farBy the time he was done, I had almost forgotten about the jungle...ALMOST...I made my way upstairs, to find Dripp laying down some of the heaviest basslines, along with a nice sampling classic tracks...Overall, the main part of the party was made amazing by the people I went with (Patrick, Amy, Andrea,Erin and others

)...and then the music took hold for the rest of the party...Security was friendly most of ight, but they seemed to get a bit agro towards the end...also, the party ended up having a really sweet vibe - it seemed as though the older crowd were a searching each other out, as I met alot of cool people throughout the evening...Overall I'd say my good luck with Nightmare parties has continued once again....

Fucken right!!! It's the first time I've seen Unabomber, and he was amazing!!! I especially liked the way he was behind the turntables. I know that when I see a DJ having a good time, I have a good time, and he was going crazy. He totally made the party for me. Hibernate was pretty good too, I love watching live P.A's, they played a couple killer tracks that are still stuck in my head.

We got there about half way throught Miss Money Penny's set. No line-up at all. She was awesome too, it would have been nice to see her later in the party though, did I forget to mention that she's hot too

Didn't stay for Jason Marshall, way to hot, sweaty and tired, but I was kinda disappointed that there was no Trance played, not even hard trance. I thought for sure I'd hear atleast some, but still, no complaints about the music. Maybe upstairs at times, but I wasn't up there very much.

One last thing. WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THE LAST TRACK THAT UNABOMBER SPUN??????????? It was the illest track I heard all night. Amazing, had everyone jumping. If anyone knows, please let me know. GOD I LOVED THAT TRACK!!!

ok is just me or didn't unabomber used to spin trance? The only other time I saw him was @ E-Mail's first party like a yearand ahalf ago, and he was definetely not spinning techno...or maybe this was just a nightmare thing?

basic, i think he's been transitioning over the more techno for some time. i think a lot of the djs are going to be playing more hard techno in the future (myself included).

Party was good except for the heat problem! They should know that when there is so many people it's going to be very hot! Anyway I had a good time I just got to mashed! I was a mash-out!! But that what party's are for!

hmmmmm, have some mixed emotions about this partE....went early so we could check our coats, becuz last time (purple heaven), my coat got stolen cuz coat check wuz full by 1230!

aarrrrggggg some people just have NO RESPECT!! (if i ever find the person who stole my jacket i will personally rip out their eyeballs and force them down their throat)
on that note....got to check my coat this time, but was quite surprised that there was a lineup at 1030 for the TROPICANA!

newayz....place wuz packed when we arrived and continued to get even more packed as the night progressed. unfortunately some annoying shit happened...my boi went to go roll a joint in the bathroom and security peeked over the stall and freaked out! it wuz a FUKKIN ten piece fachrissakes! that's all he had on him and he flushed it right in front of the guy but he still grabbed my boi and proceeded to drag him towards the exit! my boi told him he had to tell me that he was gettin kicked out but the guard was all like:" no you can't" what the HELL is that all about?

if my boi hadn't broken free and run to find me i would've lost my mind trying to figure out what the fuck had happened to my boi!

so then i had the fun time of waiting in the insanely long coat check line to get my coat, and eventually i had to get some girl at the front to get my coat becuz i was gettin all crazy and claustrophobic....( i had just started to trip out)

girl was nice enough to get it for me...thank you whoever you are...then to make my way through the hot smelly sea o peeps to the exit....when i came out at 1230 the lineup was down the street and me an my boi figured we probly got out just in time anyway.....
did get to hear miss money penny tho and she fukkin rocked! nice hard driving techno! wish i had heard Unabomber tho, he always rocks, plus he tried to get my boi back in and when he couldn't he gave him a tape!

needless to say me n my boi went back to our place and had a partE of our own..hehehe...the trip did not go to waste!
