klowe is the architect of this disaster
drafting has been abysmal, all those top picks followed by very high 2nd and 3rd round pics and nothing to show for it.
the whole organization needs to be purge from top down. gonna take a long time to rebuild this organization. unless they over pay massively for below avg players(nikitin) the team is viewed as a toxic wasteland no sane player would go to.
trades....lol what player that is worth anything would waive the no trade to go to a team that has to have a fire sale on the only good players they do have
draistl should not be up with this team, send him to the wj's and then to the ahl so he doesnt get infected with the losing culture. yak is gone after this season to the khl

he is a bust so far and has zero trade value
he will get more in the khl tax free and given all kinds of playing time and will look a lot better in the khl than he will in the nhl

seems like an easy decision for a 19 yr old

still doesnt change the fact it will run, just with some teams dropping out and lots of middling players gone
there are haves and have nots in the nhl but the have nots here get oodles of aid to stay afloat(the league needs to contract by 3 teams imho)
so him being yakupov he will find a job there for more than here
not getting paid on time or in full has plagued the khl since its inception

he is going nowhere fast in edmonton and edmonton will get nothing in a trade for him and think he(like the team) is minustes away from some amazing turn around

The Jets traded Kane, Zach Bogosian, and unsigned goaltending prospect Jason Kasdorf to the Sabres on Wednesday in exchange for Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, prospects Brendan Lemieux, Joel Armia and a 2015 first-round draft pick.
The first-round pick going to Winnipeg will be the lowest of the three that Buffalo currently owns. In addition to their own choice, which could end up being the first overall, the Sabres have first-round picks from the St. Louis Blues and New York Islanders that were acquired last season.

Wasn't he supposed to marry some older actress with a weird rep a couple years ago?

Los Angeles Kings forward Jarret Stoll was arrested Friday in Las Vegas on drug possession charges according to CBS affiliate KLAS-TV. Stoll was arrested at the MGM Wet Republic pool after allegedly being found to be in possession of cocaine and ecstasy.

Stoll, who is dating TV personality Erin Andrews, is due to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

Stoll was planning having himself a time! 8 ball of coke and lots of pills

The arrest report of Jarret Stoll for suspicion of possession of cocaine and Ecstasy was released Monday. And according to details in a story from the Los Angeles Times, it does not sound good for the Kings forward and pending unrestricted free agent.

Stoll, who was arrested Friday in Las Vegas at the Wet Republic pool at the MGM Grand, “consented to a voluntary pat-down upon entrance” to the pool per the Times.

There’s more:

The security guard, according to the report, “found an off-white powder in two pink baggies, small baggies, he recognized as contraband, also a clear plastic baggie containing numerous gel-caps with an off-white powder inside the caps.”

The baggies were found “in the right, back pocket of Stoll's swimsuit shorts.”

Also per the Times:

A field test identified the off-white powder as cocaine, weighing 3.3 grams, according to the report. The gel-caps weighed 8.1 grams.

The police officer said he asked Stoll if the powder was cocaine and Stoll answered, “Yes,” according to the report. The gel-caps were seized pending chemical analysis.

The story also says that because of his arrest, Stoll was immediately referred to the NHL and NHLPA joint Substance abuse and Behavioral Health program. It notes criminal charges for Stoll are pending toxicology results on the drugs according to the Clark County district attorney. If they come back positive he will face felony charges of drug possession.

And one more interesting detail … his pending hearing for the case is set for July 1 – the same day the 32-year-old is supposed to hit unrestricted free agency.
