Report: Bills Will Trade Kiko Alonso To Eagles For LeSean McCoy

The Philadelphia Eagles have a trade in place to send running back LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Eagles have agreed to trade LeSean McCoy to the Bills, according to a source.
In return, the Bills will send linebacker Kiko Alonso to the Eagles, the source said.

Drafted in the second round of the 2009 draft out of Pittsburgh, McCoy has spent his entire six-season career in Philadelphia.

He rushed for 1,319 yards and tallied five touchdowns last season for the Eagles.

Alonso missed all of the 2014-15 season with a torn ACL, but in his rookie season of 2013 he played every defensive snap and ranked third in the NFL with 159 tackles.

An Oregon product, Alonso will reunite with his former college coach, Chip Kelly, who will enter his third season in charge of the Eagles.

The trade can not be made official until the new league year begins next Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.

Eagles cleared over $22M in cap space today. They are going to be $50M under the cap, with needs everywhere.

this be a lot of moolah

Barring a breakdown in formal contract negotiations, Ndamukong Suh will sign with the Miami Dolphins after the new league year begins Tuesday for a deal that will pay him approximately $114 million with $60 million in guaranteed money, league sources told ESPN.

I will be gutted if the Niners don't get back Gore.
Although it seems like a good play by the Eagles to pick him up after trading McCoy.

And the hurt keeps coming for the Niners.
Patrick Willis of San Francisco 49ers to announce retirement - ESPN <-- also mentions Justin Smith is expected to retire as well.

Holy rebuilding year. Darnell Dockett seemed like a good replacement for Ray McDonald. Chris Borland amazed some people last year prior to injury and with Navarro Bowman returning from injury as well, the 2 might just be able fill the MLB spots with Willis gone... But Justin Smith was a beast at plugging the line and opening gaps which is a key reason Aldon Smith has been so effective and it will be disappointing to say the least when he retires.
The only Niners upside is that the rumours are indicating that Torrey Smith is getting signed since Michael Crabtree is expected to go. But fuck Carlos Hyde. The Nines need a real 1st tier running back.

forget Ngata to the Lions
Ignore Jimmy Graham to the Seahawks
Dismiss Foles to STL for Bradford and some picks.
Today is all about the retirement of Jake Fucking Locker.

Ben extends his contract 5 years $99 million, which could go up to $108 million, providing he stays away from college pubs, and he doesn't request house cleaning at 3am when they're on the road.

They also signed former Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams. Great pick up if he can stay healthy.

Why not make it 5 years 199M. This is so ridiculous...65M over the first three years, REALLY? Shitsbugh is stuck with Rapistburger for 3 more years. Think they will ever get to that 5th year? re-do it in the 4th or cut him. But what does he care, 60 fucking million dollars.

Contracts hardly ever make it to the end, they'll end up dumping him in 3 or 4 years. They're always against the cap so they'll reconstruct 4 more times. They got 8 years out of him for $100 million ( minus lawyers fees and payoffs to the dirtbags) he's still doing ok

Doh. Nevermind. The hurt keeps coming for the Niners.
NFL players shocked by Chris Borland's retirement, but respect his decision

In other off season moves, I'm glad to see Frank Gore go to the Colts (aka, not another NFC team). I'd love to see him and Andre Johnson win a ring next year after getting stiffed from their teams.

Kelly's offense isn't even creative, if he slowed down to the normal pace of the game his offense would look like a high school's team. Teams have caught up to his pace he'll get sent back to the college league.

not sure what to do with that argument given that some form of no-huddle or hurry up has been played by at least 1 team for about a quarter-century now.
They still were 5 or 6 in many offensive categories last year despite Sanchez and Foles's dropoff. Granted, you can't put the NFC East no better than 5th in terms of division strength last few years.
I'm a Cowboys fan but they so overachieved on D last year, and a few of those guys are gone now. Whichever of the Eagles or Giants can make gains on the defensive side of the ball takes that division IMO.
