yup, I've got every one from 98.1 onward

they're the greatest...the 10 year aniversary one had a great cd rom label history too.

this is how music should come...I mean really...10 bucks is all they're worth.

this is only 1 CD.. sometimes they come with an extra disc which is the CD-Rom..

If the store has it for more than $11 than they are ripping you off.. go somewhere else to get it.

Average price should be $8.99-10.99.

BTW- the disc is called 02.1

i'll have to agree that this is probably the best value in electronic music, period. i remember when i first saw 98.1 on the shelf for $6.99 -- i lost it!

^^with guys like Tech Itch, Dom, and Decoder, i think its safe to say that this will be a little harder-edged than the previous compliations......but it should be wicked

well, those guys have been on each of the comps so far. i've no doubt that it'll have some hard tracks on there, but i also really dig the other side of the MS sound; the jazzy stuff a la EZ Rollers, Flytronix, Aquasky, etc.

i suppose it doesn't really make a difference, i'll probably get a copy anyway.

the new one is a little techier than older versions which, you're correct, were quite jazzy.

several previous versions had emphisis on different elements of the labels work.

ie. 99.1's second disc was not a cd rom, it was a short mix by the ez rollers, and the main disc reflected thier work along with Aquasky and Omni Trio type stuff.

the Newer one, IS little more techy, which generally is not my favorite, however I can assure you It's got the usual style and funk.

worth the money...which even at it's most expensive, it still at LEAST half of another album.

there is only 1 disc but as part of that disc- there will be a multimedia CD Rom section dedicated to Jet-Ski Riders for PS2. (Moving Shadow provided the entire soundtrack).
The section will include video sequences of the game, info & screen savers.

last night i got the winning bid on Ebay for 98.2......now my collection is complete!!!

Only problem is the guy was selling both 98.1 and 98.2 together so now i have doubles of 98.1

any bidders??

Yes.
It just got released in the U.K. this week...
(as usual Canada is a little behind)
Breakbeat Science may have it. You have the
choice of ordering it from them and paying $5.99 U.S. (+ S&H)
and waiting 2 weeks for them to deliver it or wait until
the 12th and buy it at HMV for around 10 bucks.

Hey sugarD, if you work for Koch, perhaps you can answer me a couple questions.

1. I have never seen Killabytes 2 in ANY stores around here, yet the States and Europe have had it for months( since like September).....was it ever out here? Was Koch doing the distribution??

2. Not that i REALLY want it, but Trace's '23 degrees from Vertical' was also never found here, but i seem to remember you saying a while back that it would be available in canada(distributed by Koch). Just wondering if it was ever in Canada on semi-wide distribution.

Yes, it's been out since September here as well.. KOCH did do the distro.

This has also been available KOCH since November... which brings me to a very annoying point: retailers in Canada never
seem to take a chance on products unless they are proven big sellers. They will buy 1's
of these products but not re-order them so people never know that they are actually available
(which is why you will see my posts all the time telling people what's coming out
wink.gif
)
We have the product but it's up to the stores to order it! The main reason I do these
posts is so that people such as yourself are aware of what's coming so they will create
a demand for the product- leaving the retailer no other choice but to order the product and
have it on their shelves. Next time one of these stores doesn't have what they are looking for- tell them to order it!

It frustrates me

when these stores don't support the products and then try and
blame the distributor when in fact they never ordered it!

i did have a feeling that it was more the retailers who were to blame for this.

So if i get, say, HMV to order me Killabytes 2, its not gonna cost me any extra cash right, because it isn't an import.

Nope...because as soon as they type in the title it should come up as KOCH. To save even more time you can order it by this catalog # ASH-CD-27 and it will definately come up as a domestic item.
