New Deal @ soda, Montreal

Saw them for the first time last night at some concert hall type of venue called soda. wicked venue by the way.

We arrived around 10pm and the place was completly empty. I figured it would fill out a bit, but by the time the new deal came on it was rammed. Probably about 1000 people.

I'd never seen them before or heard anything of theirs so I wasn't sure what to they'd be like, but I was expecting something housey, and that's pretty much what I got. I thought they were really good though. It was deffinatly better than seeing a dj perform. good times were had by all.

New Deal was great. I fully absorbed their 2 hour set, and they definately have something good. Great, dancey, proegessive house sounds with guitars and funk. Party music... definately gonna buy their CD.

Good show! I've gotta say I like Montreal Clubs more then here, maybe because their all new for me..
The New Deal are really hype, a little repetitive with the sounds they use, but nevertheless they got the packed house going.
