I need to know if anyone has experience with storage tape library solutions.

I need to get some info on backup units that will hold about 1 TB of info.

We would like to backup our servers to one central unit.

So far we're looking at the PowerStor L500 & L200 from Quantum.

We need anything from 500+ Gb up to 1 TB or so...

Any info / opinions / links appreciated ... and it must be supported under ArcServe. And $$ is not an issue :D

punch cards are the wave fo the future

    you'll need a key punchOR:

    and a sortOR and selectOR:

    and a collatOR/mergOR:

    and finally a reproducOR:

it'll set you back about $2M US and take up approx 2000 sq feet.

i can give you purchasing contacts if you wish.

    I'm backing Netware Servers...
Hence why it must be ArcServe compatible...

Bascially each server has DLT4000 or DLT7000 Units in them, we'd rather go away from that and backup the Servers via one unit that'll hold 500+ Gb.
