my parsley is growing!

It survived the winter, stayed green the whole time - even when surrounded by snow. Now its growing like crazy! maybe its genetically modified... Can't wait to make my first tabouli of the year.

turned beds, added two big bags cow manure, one small bag peatmoss. mixed well.

drank 1 liter of water.

done for the day. shit, farming is hard.

I'm gunna miss having a garden this year.

My dad is the tomato KING. There was three of us living there, but he always had at LEAST 20 tomato plants growing, and at least 5-6 different varieties, not to mention virtually every other vegetable you can grow in a north american garden. (We have a HUGE backyard and most of it is garden... the neighbours just come over and pick what they need. It's awesome.)

He's also a tabouli fiend. Gyah i'm gunna miss some things about home in the summer... he made the BEST tabouli.

Hrm, maybe I can grow some shit on my balcony? NOTHING beats homegrown vegetables.

mowing lawn
turning soil
swear up a streak because i hate yard work!

Parsley and Basil plants are still rocking, but the stupid Cilantro plant from Loblaws died as soon as I brought it home. I tried repotting it, and giving it lots of attention, but it didn't want any of it, and now it's gone.

where can i get some good herb seeds?

i'm looknig for stuff like thyme, rosemary, sage, chives, saffron, lemongrass.. you get the point. I want some seeds to plant in my garden..

also salad greens seeds (arugula, watercress, mustard, different leafy lettuces, etc)..

can i get the seeds in a nursery? or is there a special seed shop somewhere?
