i don't know how you people do this all day.
not only am i being run off my feet 90% of the time, there are people popping in and out NON-STOP and i would have a really hard time explaining "Tribe" to them.

how do you post from your place of employment? do you try and keep it quiet, minimizing everytime someone gets within seeing-distance? are you posting when you should be working or just checking in whenever you have a free bit of time?

i am very curious.

i was looking forward to joining the 9-5 posting massive.

I have to sit here 7 hours a day and type. It's very easy to do this rather than the actual emails they assign me.

No one really comes up, and if they do, they don't say anything because I'm not very social at work, therefore giving them no reason to discuss what I'm doing.

i do it a lot more now that i am finishing my thesis and have to sit at the computer analysing crap and writing.

As for the people at work, half the time i call them over to see whats going on a have a laugh so not so much an issue for me.

Yeah I had a talking too off the the record verbal warning...

As far as my work go those mean nothing.

Once you get written up and it's in your file you should worry,

Oh yeah and don't look at any porn or subjective imagry.

*I'd like to at this time thank everyone who puts warnings of not work safe threads*

Thanks!:)

hahaha.

Same here with my last job. I started entering into NWS threads on purpose when my beefs with the company came to a "fuck you" level.

The latest version of the CAD software I use at work has a similar feature to this. I suppose the software designers intended me to set my homepage to the online help or something (or did they?), but Tribe works for me!

Same deal- the window is within the application and if I move the mouse off of the window it dissapears There are lots windows and stuff popping up on a CAD application all the time so nobody thinks anything of it.

Now.... how do you explain all the typing when your work is primarily mouse inputs?

I work reception so I basically work from my desk all day - I think they (people at work) think its would be hard for me not to go on the internet. I am a great multi-tasker too - that is key :) Sometimes I think I shouldn't be on here but I don't get all the breaks I deserve either so that makes me feel less guilty. It depends on how strict your place of employment is IMO.

You have to watch LOLing, because most people in office environments would probably think your weird if you LOL for no apparent reason.
