My employment has been terminated.

I was working as a pharmaceutical regulatory affairs associate at Genpharm Inc.

The company only wishes to have people in that position that do not think for themselves, and become cogs in their inefficient machinery. Quite obviously, I didn't fit.

So, this morning, the manager pulled me into her office, and gave me the good word. I could barely manage to hold in the grin-- I instantly felt as if I had taken some sort of drug...

Now I have to do a frikkin' job search, and I will more than likely get the same sort of position... oh, woe is me.

Bright side: if termination was without cause, your new job search will be with the cushion of a severance payment.

do you have to look for a job in the same field? maybe you don't necessarily have "qualifications" but i'm sure there's lots of stuff you can do. maybe this is the right moment to point yourself in another direction.

Oh, there are plenty of jobs I could do. Problem is, I communicate like an idiot verbally, so come interview time, I turn into a moronic 12-year old.

In other words, I will get exactly the same position in a different company, and I'll only last 6 months. But hey, that's life, right?

if your inventive it can happen, and if i know you you'd never be happy working for someone else.


sure you will have to start small, and will probably not profit much for the first year or so


but in the long run you would get some sort of satisfaction from your job

I've been quite loud and verbal about how stupid they are for months now.

Little problem I have-- when someone does something stupid, I can't help but call them on it. For instance, the boss while reading over a fasted study asks,"Why did they not give the subjects breakfast?".

Now, that sort of stupidity permeates the company, top to bottom.

They do that so that it doesn't ruin their weekend.

When it comes down to it.. it sucks to get fired no matter what fucking day it is.

I think.. in some ways.. I rather get fired soon after having weekend fun. Meh...
