Junglist Manifesto Recordings Presents: Chili Banks - "Astounding Science Fiction" LP

"From the far horizons of the unknown come transcribed tales of new dimensions in time and space. These are stories of the future, adventures in which you'll live in a million could be years on a thousand maybe worlds".

Astounding Science Fiction is Chili Banks' 3rd full length LP concept album. Since the inception of Junglist Manifesto Recordings in 2009. The album is a concept album based on old time radio science fiction stories from the 40's and 50's. The stories first appeared in pulp magazines of the same era written by some huge names in sci-fi as well as some obscure ones. The tracks are audio vignettes, they are stand alone stories from a time when the world and universe was a less discovered place. Science fiction samples are mixed with organic drum sounds, sub basses, and a mix of new and old techniques. The album serves as an exploration in the art of sampling and takes a step outside of dance floor Jungle/Drum & Bass.

The album features 2 heavy hitting remixes by producer Bay B Kane. Join us on a trip through the universe. We'd like to offer you a copy of the project free

Cheers man. My label has a distributor so I dont get paid directly from Beatport so I guess the answer is no. They pay my distro for every copy sold no threshold. Though I will say their quarterly minimum required sales to stay on BP is pretty high. Having a large back catalogue has helped with that. Also the distro has helped us stay on, there arent many labels that do Jungle in comparison to Drum & Bass or House so Im sure there are quarters where we've got a pass. The distro like what we do i.e. themed projects albums instead to singles etc. 5+ years on Beatport. Though I'd say itunes outsells Beatport for us for the last 1.5 or 2 years off the top of my head.

Hope you enjoy the album. I've been waiting to do this project for many many years now. I'm happy it's done and out. Album launch party is tonight too. Feeling good.

imma check it out on itunes.

(I know itunes is not as cool as beatport, but I find the prices way better and I like how it integrates with serato library)
