MSN Messenger 7.5 - installed but won't run

I've downloaded MSN Messenger 7.5 on my "new" three year old laptop (Toshiba satellite 1800) that had Windows messenger 4.7 on it already. 7.5 installed fine but when I try to run it an error window opens that says,

"The specified module could not be found.

UNICOWS.DLL"

Any help with resolving this would be much appreciated!

What OS do you use?
If you have XP, then do this:
A. In the notification area at the far right of the task bar, right-click the MSN Messenger icon, and then click Exit.

B. Do one of the following:
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Add or Remove Programs, and then click Remove a program.
3. Click Change or Remove Programs.
4. From the Currently installed programs list, select MSN Messenger, and then click Remove or Change/Remove.
5. If prompted, click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the program, and then click OK.

C. Download the Microsoft Layer for Unicode. Visit http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=73ba7bd7-ed06-4f0d-80a4-2a7eeaee17e2&DisplayLang=en Click the Download link.

D. Restart your computer.

E. Download and install MSN Messenger. Visit http://messenger.msn.com Click Download Now.
Make sure the unicows.dll file is in the MSN folder by doing a search.
