I need to turn a 'mov' file into a 'mpg' file. The only problem is.. I don't have the actual file, just a link to a url where the mov exists.

I basically need to get the video into a youtube video and have no clue where to start.

Can anyone make some suggestions? recommendations?

I suggest and recommend you provide the URL and we'll see what can be done.

Sounds like you need to download an embedded video on a site, which is a MOV file, and transfer it to an MPG, in order to upload it to Youtube? I haven't uploaded a video to Youtube before, but I'm pretty sure you can upload MOV files.

I think Firefox has a Video Downloader add-on that will search out embedded/protected videos and download to your desktop.
