there is one station in paris, it's a greehouse on the other side that looks alot like a rainforest, it's part of the new line, i forget which station.

i read an article that said the TTC only makes a minimal amount of money from all the nasty advertising.

apparently it would only take a 5c fare hike to cover the cost of getting rid of all the TTC advertising.

there's a group out there willing to raise the funds to restyle certain subway stations that see heavy use by tourists

I would imagin pretty much what you find in every waterfront location: Pedestrian only streets, cafe's restaurants, bars, stores... basically life. If you put up museums and parks after 5 pm it will still be a ghost town down there.
