I just set up a tape deck. been a few years but I still remember how they work.

I also just started recording some of the old mixtapes I have collected.

1st on the hit list is...
Deja Vu "Dynamic Anatomy (Presentration One: Agression)"

I have about 100 tapes in my old box but only about 20 in front of me here that I'll be ripping.

I'll use this thread to keep anyone interested, updated. Some of them I'll put on my server for download but I have a feeling my bandwidth would be raped up the ol'...yeah, so Soulseek will be heavily used I imagine.

some of the stuff I'll be doing up for ya's...

a bunch of Marinko's old tapes
Jaesun
a wackload of Terry Mullan (I think I have about 14 of his in total but I'll pick the best)
Vitamin D (his techno tapes rock)
a certain Mr. Adam Marshall tapoe that I still listen to when I can (Sativa Mainline)
Cari Lekebusch
Juan Atkins (2 part bootleg from the party he played at the Docks years ago...i gave the guy doing the sound blank tpaes so I'm the only person with them ;))
+ more...yay!

Which ones do you have? I've been trying to hunt down a live mix he did in LA (I lent the tape to a friend and it got chewed).

I have that. Not sure how to get a copy to you though. I live in Newmarket...but I do come downtown a fair bit. Pm me if you want to arrange something.

First of the mixes uploading now...or you can grab it off me via Soulseek

Soulseek is my preferred method as it'll preserver my server's dignity.

Nice pick, I am pretty sure that's Brandon Costigan(sp) from Waterloo. I used to party with him back in the day. He picked up the DJing thing over night just like most musical instruments he picked up.

Anyone know what that guy is up to?

I think he only did Presentation 1 & 2?

Heavy rotation for me that I have in a box somewhere were;
Adam Marshall's - Summer Squat.
Mike Dearborn - Demo's 4, 5, and 6
Twonz - no title
Chemical Kid - old(er young) Mike Shannon

Looking forward to when you get those ripped as well.

Complete so far...

Deja Vu - Dynamic Anatomy
Marinko Jareb - How do you say everything in 90 min.?

both available in soulseek right now. username = isoprax

the deja vu keeps croaking during upload, probably because my internet connection is being molested right now. but I'll keep trying.

Currently recording is the Juan Atkins double tape :)

You are correct. I find his early stuff more true to his original form "Acid House" . These live sets had alot of mainstream house tunes, however, there were a few shining moments. But yeah, the older the better for him.!!
