I am interested to hear this dj Mute, I think I've seen him on flyers but never payed attention.

On the flyer

- Loco Dice (420 recordings.Circolgo.Germany)
- Kenny Glasgow (Contact Resident)
- Greg Gow (Contact Resident)

The flyer says the night is called "Contact - Toronto's New Techno Series"

and Coke and Pepsi what's the diff. - competition is good for the consumer but Contact sounds like Convervsion try not to look like you are biting!:D <- look teeth

biting?

considering 'contact' is being spearheaded by gow and glasgow for system i'd hardly call it biting.

more like the other way around.

i'll be there to support.

The words contact and conversion don't sound alike (other than the prefix) or even conjure the same images anyway. Get a grip.

i was responding to a post that was insinuating that 'contact' was biting 'conversion'.

if you let that comment roll of your back with a chuckle, then also allow mine to do the same.

or do always feel like you have to mix it up with me after everything i post?

Why do you feel the need to get so defensive when I ask you to clarify something? because that's all I was doing. dont get too excited.

why don't you ask adorablehomeboy to clarify since he/she was the one who made the statement i responded to?

my response wasn't even directed at you,but alas you came on the attack.

defensive?

Is Contact a new regular monthly techno night? If so, assuming Conversion continues as a monthly, is there room for 2 monthlies? I don't know, but I hope they don't split the market too thinly.

because I understood what he said, but wasn't sure what you were implying by saying that the "biting" was "more like the other way around."

Wasn't Conversion around before Contact anyways?

I don't think anyone's biting anyone.

I thought we got rid of that word somewhere around grade 6 anyways.

Fuck'n biters.

Whatever. The three letters are enough. Marketers do things like this to create ambiguity and steal market share.

On the flyer it says "New techno series" - the word new can be taken to mean they are replacing fukhouse, or imo, since it is a Friday, they are creating a night to compete with Conversion. And by naming it something close to Conversion, they are trying to use ambiguity.

To me that's biting and not trying to be original. Being a copycat. Not trying to give the people something unique, just stealing from the original thoughts of others.

but this is just -my opinion-, At the end of the day I like both Coke and Pepsi and I will be on the dancefloor with the rest of you.
