HOW THE HELL DOES A DJ THAT IS THIS (TECHNICALY) BAD. CONTINUE GETTING BOOKED IN TORONTO? I stopped by 'Tonic last night and once again, (Like @ idance) it was bad. Choppy, no flow, back-spinning out of mixes. Like come on there are so many GOOD Dj's just in Toronto. Why waste (Prim-Time) slots on out-o-town' crap! Sorry Honey, you just don't have it anymore....

I only saw her/him at IDance and i do not wish to ever again, but beaker is right - she/he draws, and that's all there is too it.

Yes. On Fri. Nights

But anyway forget draw She can't mix! And there is no flow.
Now I'm no mix master but I can feel the flow and put to songs together without back spining out of my MIXXES!!!!!

Peace

I'm gonna have to agree with Dragonfly. I've seen her twice (i-dance and summer's end), and both times she was horrible. Flat and brutal on the mixing. I will not go see her ever again. Sorry to anyone that's a fan, but that's my opinion.

Went to industry some time ago to check out derrick carter...it was so rammed in the main room we went & hung out in the lounge (it was near the end so they had the djs spinning in the back)...wandered out some time later, & carter was finished but honey dijon was just starting...it was a pretty good set, & i was pleasantly surprised...
so i guess 1 out 3 isn't too bad, you're considered a pretty good batter @ .333, but i guess your considered a pretty shitty hockey goalie if thats your save percentage...(my apologies for the sports analogies)...anyways no point, but enjoyed her back @ industry...

yup that's the same party i was basing my rating on, in fact i think she played better than carter that night(does anyone know if she identifies as a man or woman?) she was pretty hype at summer's end but i was distracted trying to be everywhere at once

I saw her at iDance and at Tonic sometime ago. I don't think she's technically that great, but I like her selections. She picks good tunes, and she seems to be in touch the the vibe of the crowd, my $0.02.

fyi - I believe drag queens like to be referred to as "she" when in drag, since she's in drag when she spins, she's in character, thus "she" would apply. Transvestites however retain their male gender but simply dresses in female clothing, thus "he" would apply - see Eddie Izzard. Both are anatomically male, and dress in female outfits - the difference is whether a female character is generated when they dress up. BUT usually, none of these general rules apply, and they all have different takes on the gender issue, so just ask.

i saw her at that free block party a year or two ago and regardless of her skills, she had the party jumpin'.

I seem to remember someone from MWE saying Honey wasnt going to be there that night and someone else was taking the time slot.
I listened to the radio and dont remember anyyone saying anyther about her. But maybe Ronnie just forgot?

I guess the only thing to being a (trance-nu-nrg-ukhardhouse) DJ is smooth flowing mixes.

I've seen Honey Dijon a few times now, and what you saw at the I-Dance rally and at Summer's End is not what Honey Dijon usually spins.

If you ever had the opportunity to see her at Industry or at that Block party, she's had me, and everyone else bumpin. The one thing I recall that got everyone bumpin - Playing Mr. Roboto (original version) over this hard hard tribal beat...insane. That and when she/he all or a sudden dropped in the ODB....

The Block party was also the first time I ever heard the Thriller remix.

At Summer's End she/he seemed to have fed off whomever was on before. They were playing pretty much tech-house.
