Northrop Frye Hall Auditorium- 73 Queen's Park Cres. E. at 7:30 PM FREE

Water. We see it everywhere, we use it everyday, but where does the water come from? how is it being monitored? Join Maude Barlow, director of the International Forum on Globalization, as she discusses her new co-authored book "Blue Gold". In it she illustrates that although we can't live without water, we're treating it as just another commodity for sale. Also speaking will be Colin N. Perkel who was among the first reporters on the Walkerton tragedy. He will be discussing his new book "Well of Lies" in which he tells the story of the people and the tragedy of this event.
=============================================

I wish that I could make it but I can't tonight because of other commitments.

I did have a chance to see Maude Barlow speak a while back, and I must say that she is one of the most engaging and dynamic speakers that I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. She speaks with such a passion about her work that it's really contagious.

Regardless of what some people on the right think of her opinions, it doesn't change the fact that she rocks the house when she speaks.

Anyone into this sort of thing should definitely check it out.

hahaha... yeah I know you hate her. :)

Her book 'Global Showdown' was a little dry, kind of like Naomi Klein's No Logo, but I think she's an absolutely fantastic public speaker.

Wha??

Michael Moore and Maude Barlow all in the same week? You lefties must be on cloud 9!

That's like having Rush Limbaugh and David Frum back to back, for the rest of us. :)
