Matt, that track you started off with was so evil! You gotta hook me up with the name of it. Good crowd this nite. Congrats Luke on getting signed to Bedrock. Keep them coming. His set was beyooootiful and he built it up slowly for the first 2 hours and then the last hour chugged along. So sweet.

Matt jumped in and dropped some sweet hard beats with some lovely TRIBAL mixed into his sweet progressive set. "It was good to hear 'Deep in the Jungle' as always" said Gizmo *review by Gizmo*

there he stood
on the huge stage
the only light was on him
we were in the dark
then
out of his tones
came the chanting
first as a whisper
we could hardly hear
it didn't make any sense
it didn't make any sense
it didn't make any sense
....

Hey,

i just listened to the track and that "it began in africa" sample is also at the beginning of disc 1 of Lawler's Home compilation. The track is Waking The Spirits by Bob Halroyd. Don't know if its just a sample Lawler himself threw in or if its part of the track.

p.s. i hope the mix i just listened to was mislabelled or something becuz it sounds kinda cheezy. not very chem bros sounding.

Correction:

I'm actually quite positive the track i heard wasnt the chem bros. I didnt make it to System on Friday so i guess i've lost out doubly somehow. oh well, always next friday.

I was playing the sample throughout the night over top of other stuff.

It seems to be popping up all over the place these days. Yes the Chemical Brothers have used it in their new track called - Africa (Electronic Battle Weapon 5) -

Although it wasn't as busy as normal nights, you can't possibly think that this will last. The music was incredible. Luke started it off playing a nice progressive build up for Matt...last few tracks that was played were soooo yummy....

Matt took over and had the crowd going. Overheard/eavesdropping (whatever you want to call it) saying the music was sweet.

Keep up the good work guys, as well congratulations Luke on your signing - your new remix is supa good.
