Making a web site. help!!!!

I'm making a basic web site for my first tim. I'm using Frontpage 2002. I want my web site to have files that only members can see. How do I make it so that they have to enter a unique screen name and password(example:jsmith@hotmail.com,password: boobies)?

I'm using Cogeco as my host right now, as it is free while I'm waiting for my domain name registration to go through!

Any help would be appreciated. I'm new at making a web site.

.htaccess and .htpasswd I think is what you need to search on.
It's been a long time since I've done it, plus the server has to support it.
