A 2 GB Jaz drive that weighs at least 15 lbs.

It has a drive in it labeled TRIBE 1997.

Anybody still running windows XP so I can get the files off of it, because it isn't recognized by anything after that...

Shit man I found my imprisoned zip disk...

have a few tracks I laid down in impulse tracker on it that I haven't heard since the 90s

No zip drive!

I have an old apple G3 in the basement, maybe I can use that to take the files off the Jaz drive... Hmmm

I think you should be able to open it on the G3. I assume your G3 has USB ports that you can insert a flash drive into to retrieve that data? I know many of us would love to see old photos/issues!

It is a SCSI device. I think I have an old SCSI card around here somewhere...

What is going to happen in the future with all the ancient data storage technology that isn't supported any more? At least books never needed drivers, old operating systems, and special cables to extract the data from them...
