Its a strangely an alien world. I am navigating around the new server seeing what is on there and I feel like Jacques Coustea.

A giant squid could appear at any moment...

it's really cool though. have you been to freshmeat?

I would dual boot if I had motivation.

click on the gnome menu(the foot), then select 'applets', then 'amusement' then 'fish'.

a fish will appear in your taskbar.
if you click on it, it will tell you things which are beyond mighty.

it is a mighty operating system, but the learning curve is very slow. There's alot to know about it, and can be a real bitch to setup, even though it is all simple to do, there are a vast amount of things to know sometimes.

Linux r00lz...

Like deep said... freshmeat.net is the shiznit for apps/etc for linux.

Instead of dual booting buy VMWare .. and run Windows with Linux (My old roommate works for them, plug) :D

And of course it's way better than most other OSes.. but for sure, the first time is very strange.

Yes alex, you'll love Wanda the Gnome fish (but you can rename her), she's great and very wise! :D

This is what she looks like:

Gnome-fish sings too:

Another Glitch in the Call (LISP)
(Sung to the tune of a recent Pink Floyd song.)
We don't need no indirection
We don't need no flow control
No data typing or declarations
Did you leave the lists alone?

Hey! Hacker! Leave those lists alone!

Chorus:
All in all, it's just a pure-LISP function call.
All in all, it's just a pure-LISP function call.

Im a bigger loser for almost falling off my chair laughing at that.
