i'll probably be heading down to system for l'l louie vega this saturday but i was wondering what to expect?

i've never heard him play but have heard many good things about him, however nothing to specific...

people have told me tht he has a huge gay following, a crowd whose musical tastes i tend to share. So from the number of years he's been around is it safe to assume that he plays more of what could be called "deep house"? not that i'm not open, i just would like to have an idea of what to expect beforehand.

he does drop lots of vocals, but it's some sweet, deep house. excellent mixing on three decks. expect real house music.
how much are tickets btw??

peace

if you've never seen him play before, trust me, go and buy your ticket and make sure you go to System on Saturday.

I saw him at Guvernment a few years ago and I was in awe. Flawless mixing on three all night. You couldn't even tell he was mixing.

That Guvernment gig was good, but the venue was totally wrong for his style. As everyone says, expect a lot of vocals, it's more of a deep, nyc garage style night. The Sunnyside gig was good - last time I saw him.

redeyes, tickets are twenty in advance (plus service charges most likely).

what's up with system's guest list off of their site. no matter how many time i enter my info i never get any response. am i not special enough?

i love deep house and can so see myself hearing l'il louie at somewhere like sunnyside and roxy but wonder what it will be like at system who even on saturdays tends to favour the harder flavours of house...
