I was just reading some offer for life insurance that I got in the mail today, and I was just blown away at the absurdity of the way they sell it...
Here are some quotes that I just needed to share:
"The living benefit lets you get an advance up to 25% of your own life insurance coverage if you're diagnosed as having a terminal illness."
I mean, that's nuts...
what are you supposed to think when you read that? "Well gee, that sounds really good. I hope I get a terminal ilness so I can get some of my life insurance before I die."
and then there's this one:
"If an accident results in Severe Trauma, you may be eligable to collect an extra Severe Trauma Benefit of 25% of your coverage."
I mean... come on!
Extra Severe Trauma Benefit?
That sounds like a bonus game of Bingo...
Like something to be exited about...
What I really want to know is... who comes up with this stuff?
