discussing this topic with the one like fightingskurvy, we've come to the conclusion that halcyon - on and on, is the prettiest song ever.

what do you think the prettiest song ever is?

I love that song. I just purchased the Hackers Dvd on the weekend and I love the opening part where they play it !! Yeah !!

Halcyon is soooo pretty.

Orbital has a knack for making pretty music.

I think anything Dido sings is pretty.

I also used to think that band Frente made pretty music (they did a really pretty cover of Bizarre Love Triangle).

In terms of dance: Gwill Moris - Take me down. One of the prettiest tracks I've ever heard.

Bjork has a whole repertiore of 'pretty' music tho, Joga for instance?

As for Halcyon, nothing beats the live version that was floating around the web where they mix in Bon Jovi with Carly Simon.

it was Belinda Carlisle I belive.

Saw it live at the Opera House and promptly downloaded it.

Musical brilliance.

Not sure if this is the case anymore, but for a long time this was the 'standard' live version of this tune. They played it that way in TO for Lollapalooza -- it gave me shivers until I broke out laughing at the mash-up.

BLT is a great tune. I did a (hardstyle trance) cover of it myself, but i lost the original sound file, thanks to my mom reformatting the computer.

Actually, if we were to make a distinction between pretty and beaufitul, I'd say God moving over the face of the waters or the end tune (name?) of Moby's PLAY are both most beaufitul...

I would agree with you in 1994, but since then, there's been sooo many more beautiful tunes.
