Last nite Sheila E made me cry

Last nite at Casino Rama for a work-related event I found myself in the audience for the Ringo Starr and his all-stars concert.

I was expecting to be in snooze mode for the duration of the show. But this was not to be - mainly because of the amazing all-star, Sheila E - the beautiful and talented fomer Prince band drummer.

Sheila grabbed the spotlite for some truly mind-blowing drum solos, playing with such intensity, finesse and passion that my eyes welled up with tears. I couldn't help myself - such a beautiful woman creating such explosive percussion, a brilliant smile on her face all the while. After the show some of my colleagues who noticed my reaction had a chuckle at my expense. I'm just wondering if anybody else has reacted this way music that moves them.

I'd like to take this opprotunity to thank Ringo and Sheila.

They brought a lot of fish to Rama's poker room last night, and I walked out with $1400 of newbie $$$.

first serious answer in this thread:

absolutely. i'm not really a fan of opera, but the times i've seen it live has created a serious reaction. one particularly powerful note and a chill runs down my spine while tears burst forth from my eyes.

certainly happens at other times but it's almost always in reaction to vocals, not other instruments.
