what are your thoughts? good price? quality? i am not a picture kind of guy, but i had a gift card i needed to use up ..

$179?!?!?! You got ripped off. Some guy on the board is selling digital cameras for like $50. Here is the link.

Oh, and Futureshop usually has a half decent collection of sizes and formats of memory cards.
