Not my favorite place to go, but what could we do. I wanted to start off at "It's all good" but there was a lineup. While we were waiting the brother of one of the people throwing the party was giving some serious attitude to the guys at the door cause he had to wait outside while they kept the place at capacity. "Waaaaa! Waaaaa! Waaaaa! My brothers the dj, we're expected to be in there." Ugh, he gave off a bad vibe so we went to Life earlier than expected.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Myka. Giving up the tribal, hard and dirty as soon as we got in the door. That definetly helped to set the tone of a wikked nite.

Kevin Yost had the crowd at his mercy thanx to Myka and he started out with this deep, dirty tribal sounding track that kept us on the dance floor for the rest of the nite. Sweet set. Beautiful mixing going on. His mix into and out of "Feel My Drums" was dangerhouse(copyright Suke). He was mixing up the dirty house with some deep house that kept things schmooooovin'. Chillin with the "Mad Indo-Croatian" meant that the drinks was flowin all nite long.

the reason the guy at the door at "it's alll good" was gettin attitude was because we were told we can have 120 people in the place and the bouncer cut it off at 80. he was keepin people outside for no reason and we got pissed. next time will have a bigger and better venue. the bouncer was turning people down all night for no reason. sorry about any problems.

I was really impressed with Kevin Yost. On the heels of a pretty stellar set from deep dish, he did not dissapoint.

Props to Flea (the host with the most) for the late night steak sandwhich hook ups!

First time hearing the man for D.C.
He rocked, from what i've heard of his latest stuff, its more loungy house, and I thought thats what it would be like, but he came out with some nice hard beats and grooves. Ohhh ya, and what a great surprise.Myka is ress'ing at Life on SAT's. you rock Myka, keep up the good work.

I said I'd never go back to Life but if I was promised this...last time i heard Feel My Drums there was orgasmic.

Myka has seriously blown me away every time i've heard him spin. We've got some amaaazing local talent on our hands.

It had been awhile since I made my way down to LIFE and what an excellent night to go back. I heard earlier on that week that MYKA was a new resident and was happy to see him on the decks once I arrived.

The difference from my previous outing (Grooverobber) at Life compared to this weekend was quite the improvement. There was a cornucopia of skins skins skins and MYKA had everyone grooving.

In the back drop we had Mr.Yost smoking from the pipe admiring the crowd and also enjoying MYKA's set. Then he came on and WOWED the shit out of me with his versatility. He went from Deep --->Hard---> Tribal and then back again. The mixes were tight and so was the vibe. A true DANGERhOUSe Night! I have been hearing a lot of flack given to LIFE, but my experiences on that night totally had me wanting to come back.

Extra special thanks to FleaFlo Dave for being a great PIC (partner in crime) and the 5:00 am grille master. Also a great surprise to run into the original Indian Bad Boys. DANGERhOUSe Reprezented!
