aight, i've made myself a mix, one problem...

and i have put this up before, and tried the solutions that responded...but obviously to no avail.

i want to put track markers in my mix, so when i hand it out/listen you can skip tracks for listening pleasure ( or happen to like a specific track) all i can seem to do is record one straight mix using WavLab.

if anyone has any sights on how to help me out, whatnot...that would be greatly appreciated.

i plan to mass produce this mix, even if you could recommend a place that can do this for me, again i thank you

take care,

Hey doug, the way most ripping groups distribute mixed CD's with exceptions made for skipping to specific tracks is to use the mp3 / cuesheet format. The mp3 or wave is one large continuous file, and the cuesheet allows for the large filed to be burned with track markers. There is a program called a cuesheet editor that may be exactly what you're looking for, I can send it through ICQ to you if you want.

If you have WaveLab, then the rest is pretty easy.

Put your cursor where you want the track boundry to be, and press the Marker button. The one which looks like a little diamond with rainbow colours going across it. Then just select "CD Track Boundry" and press OK.

Don't forget to put a CD Track Start at the begining of the mix.

Also, make sure that in Preferences, under the CD-R tab, the "Default Pause Before a Track" is set to 0 so that you don't will have a continous mix.

Save the file when you have all the boundries defines, and goto New, CD Program. In the new window click on the little down arrow, and select "Add Track(s)" and then import the file you have saved. Then go to Write CD..., and voila.
