Just have to say MARCUS IS FUCKING PHATTTT.
Got to the party around 12. It was half full by then, and didn't really get to packed as the night went on. The crowd was excellent, everyone was there to listen to some sweet music. Except for this one chick who asked if I wanted herb or chems 5 or 6 times during the night. I know people ask you at parties but she kept on fucking asking over and over...
Everfresh was spinning when I got there, didn't really catch that much of his set so I can't really comment on it.
Mystical was next and was fucking CRAZYYYY. He set the tone right for the night, spun a two hour set. Nice dark, hard Jungle.
Next up was the man himself Marcus. yah yah, mixed in some sweet Ragga, old school and even some hiphop. I must say I have a lot of respect for this man, and really enjoy his music. Wether he's spinning Garage or Jungle.
MC's for the night we're Caddy, Friendly and MC P (I think). They did a really good job was pretty impressed by MC P. Didn't call for too many rewinds.
I think I like the Comfort Zone when its not too packed.
Anyway all in all a fun party, good vibes, and sweeeeet music.
peace.

There are some things that you will always revisit just to relive the moment and experience the feeling.

A nice, quiet sandy beach.

A simple but filling macaroni-and-cheese dinner.

Your favourite donut store and your favourite spot.

A walk through a neighbourhood park.

A favourite book.

And Urban Unit at the Comfort Zone.

The people who played at the party were fixtures when Jungle Nation was raging on Monday nights. Caddy Cad hosted these gigs until outside commitments changed everything. Marcus was there. So was the Everfresh, Friendlyman, the MC P and the Mystical Influence. I didn't catch the L Natural, Lush, Ruckus, J-Mac or P-Large, but then again I could always catch them any other time at any other party. But they had done their business at the Comfort Zone when Jungle Nation was in effect.

The place may have changed - fewer spotlights, tv monitors, an expanded coat check - but the vibe reamined the same. The couches never change - old, abused, ratty, but very comfortable nonetheless. I love a place that can live up to its name. All I had to do at this party was grab a beer and a couch, sink right in and let the music and atmosphere take me away.

There is nothing much to say about the night - to me, everything was familiar. It is impossible to describe and criticize when you feel that you've come back to see familiar faces and experience familiar sounds. The Comfort Zone is such a place. And I can't say anything more than that.

Peace out.

I heard Lush ended up going to Ottawa, and L Natural was sitting on one of the couches at the back for the whole party.
