Jungle MC's...

…and why they should be placed on a big rocket and fired into the sun.

1. We would all sleep better at night.
2. Lower noise pollution levels at parties.
3. Middle-class suburban teens would finally realize that they are not cool in any way whatsoever.
4. The collective global IQ would go up about 20 points.
5. We don’t need someone to get up on a stage and say something stupid. We already have politicians for that.
6. Jungle would not sound so retarded.
7. Just because.

Well... That's kinda harsh...

Does that mean that if you are a middle class suburban teen, you have no chance of being cool? You're destined to be un-cool no matter what you do?

And what if you're not middle class? Or not suburban?

does that make you cool?

Or does it at least give you a chance to escape the un-coolness of the middle class suburbs?

I dunno... I was a middle class suburbun teen once... and... well... at the very least, I don't think I got any cooler as I got older...

I will not start this agruement now cause its late... but i could say a lot. Yeah they can be annoying sometimes but if they hold true to their name Master of Ceremony then they can turn a party upside down insane.

Props to all the T.O. Mc's

That is ok, you were never meant to be cool. It's all just clever youth marketing.

Do you actually talk like that in real life, or is it an act?

And if you said nothing at the same time, you too could be an MC.

^What's that supposed to mean?

Anyways, just fucking around ace. There are good jungle MCs out there. Don't catagorize them all by just what you've heard.

Oh fuck, I’m befuddled like a fresh rain puddle, all in a muddle, but still kinda subtle, like a lawyer quick on the rebuttal.

I hate to agree with you Dave, but I'll agree with you anyway.

Thanks for that tape 416. When do you want it back?

MC Teddy Ruxbin is the best MC ever!
I remember when I was younger me and my buddy would put our Public Enemy and NWA tapes in his little brothers Teddy Ruxbin ... now that was funny

I might have agreed with you, that jungle emcees are generally bad, if you hadn't put it in such an offensive, and unproductive fashion.

I mean, that bullshit about middle class people is just so rediculus I can't believe it was said by anybody able to operate a computer. There will allways be lame-0 rockers, hip-hopers, junglists, ravers, house cats, god knows who else wil come along in the future.

please keep your pseudo-eletist generalizations to yourslef, as you're the only one who could possibly give a fuck to hear them.

cheers!

i liked mc's at one point but now I can't stand them.

I hate the fact that they think they run the show..
most of them go on like they are thugs and they seriously think the crowd is listening to their 'genius' rhyming talent.

mc's used to be there to introduce the dj, maybe ball out once in a while if a good tune got played.. and maybe spit out a lyric or two during the whole set. Now they act like hiphop mc's and the DJ is just playing the background music for them..
i constantly hear them begging for the mic to be turned up so they can force themselves even more down the throats of all the youngsters that are there to hear the DJ PLAY!

i can't stress it enough, THE SHOW IS NOT ABOUT THE MC, IT'S THE FUCKING DJ THAT SHOULD BE IN THE SPOTLIGHT!

i used to think that a certain REALLY POPULAR Jungle MC from toronto had mad skills, until i actually got the chance to listen to him talk over a dj's set. all he did was constantly repeat/yell out the same thing over and over again, and he totally ruined the Andy C show..

You are wrong, sir.

I loves me Jungle. But I have never liked MCs. I'm there to hear the beats. I wanna hear the music and the lyrics (occasionally). I have always found the sound of MCs to be assaulting to my ears. I find them annoying and I think they only serve to contribute to the bad-ass attitude that circulates at parties nowadays.

I think, just as some people's preference for certain genres exists, it's probably that the issue of MCs is also a matter of personal preference.

Please don't quantify my love for Jungle like that. To each his own. k?

Ming.

that's not the point jungleboy

they HAVE always been there, but they weren't as intrusive into the music as they have become lately..
there is more and more attention being focused on these doods, and therefore they have 'stepped up' their performances. which is starting to take away from the quality of the music.

Agreed.

I disagree. I've been listening to jungle for years and years. And I've never liked the sound of an emcee.

I used to make it my mission to find parties that didn't have MCs.

Ming.
