Jackin' House? Is this a new genre?

Just curious, as my friend keeps telling me about "Jackin' House". I keep telling him to stop, and insisting that it's not a genre...But he tells me that all the sites where he buys his EDM has this genre called "Jackin' House".

The real hilarity occurs when I ask him to describe it.

I think it is as useful as any genre modifier.

Contrast "jackin' house" to "deep house", and you can expect a more Chicago type sound that might have more oomph than "bumpin' house" and with a simple aim to jack your body.

If 1988 is new, then yes.

Now Traxx/Melvin Oliphant has coined a genre called "Jakbeat", but it's basically used to describe sounds from his own label and sets that he plays...

I read it as more driven house than deep if that makes any sense
(and don't care for it as much)

WW, the tunes that you posted, despite the title, don't qualify for me (but then I know nothing about this stuff).
