Do you mean wipe a Blackberry's memory?

An easy way is to set a password up for the device then get the password wrong ten times

    LOL

When I read this last night, I thought I had just smoked too much weed. Glad to see it doesn't make any more sense in the morning.

i think it's actually called 'zap clear' not 'security wipe'.

She actually is asking if it's possible to do this remotely which I doubt.

You can install SmrtGuard , the free version has this capability. Basically you can wipe your BB remotely, track it via GPS , send a really loud "ping" in case you lose it in the couch and it is on quiet, and have it secretly call a number so you can listen in should your phone get stolen.

The paid version allows OTA back ups / restore and some other features.

this would really come in handy if your bb fell into the wrong hands,....hmmm,...

Yeah, I was looking at that title and was like.... huh? zap clear?? sounds like some anti-acne product

My BB got stolen with my purse last weekend. Just replaced it yesterday. ($$$) :( All that you can do is call your provider to put the account on hold ASAP to prevent data useage. effin' sketchy people........ good luck Laura!

sigh, i was pretty stressed out/concerned when i wrote this - that's why it was in the main forum as well.

not my bb, and alot of really important legal information was lost. i can't say anything else, just that some people really fucking suck.

    lessons learned:
    - bell doesn't have 24hr customer service (although you can get the hold on when its stolen)
    - IF you have important info on your bb, install the app that xtcfreak mentioned now.
    - don't use a simple password
