Is sexuality an issue for you?

The thing is (and it's an observed sterotype), gay men tend to make a spectacle of themselves, as if being gay is such a big deal everybody has to know about it. Somteimes it's as if being gay isn't so much about sexual orientation as about a lifestyle choice.

So the point is I guess, when you stop perpetuating the 'big deal thing' here it'll go away (I think).

I think the point is sunny.. that *you* used to make a spectacle of yourself, and no one really gave a fuck that you were gay.

Maybe it helped you feel comfortable with yourself, and if it did, then all the power to you.

The fact that *you've* had enough of the bad jokes doesn't mean that people are stop.

Out of sight, out of mind

interesting philosophy...

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but you are saying that if Sonny acted normal like everyone else and kept his ghey to himself, then Pronstar wouldn't have any reason to make ignorant jokes that hurt Sonny's feelings.

Cause that is what we are talking about here, right? His feelings? A joke is a joke but then sometimes it goes too far and crosses that line. But for some reason, certain friends think that they can cross that line because they are friends. When in essence it is no easier to hear ignorance from a stranger than it is to hear it from a friend.

In fact, hearing it from a friend is a million times worse. Who want's to have to deal with that shit from a friend?

the jokes can get played out, but for example, a friend sent me this the other day, and it made me laugh:

CLEVELAND (AP) - Indians minor leaguer Kazuhito Tadano is asking for forgiveness for what he called a one-time mistake - his appearance in a gay porn video in which he engaged in a homosexual act.

Tadano took part in the video three years ago when he was a college student. Sitting in the Cleveland clubhouse Tuesday, the pitcher said he hoped to put his actions in the past.

``All of us have made mistakes in our lives,'' Tadano said, reading a statement in English. ``Hopefully, you learn from them and move on.''

Shunned by Japanese baseball teams, the 23-year-old Tadano signed with the Indians last March. They think he can make their club this spring.

Tadano gave few details about the video, which he made after his sophomore year at Rikkyo University.

``I did participate in a video and I regret it very much,'' he said. ``It was a one-time incident that showed bad judgment and will never be repeated. I was young, playing baseball and going to college and my teammates and I needed money.

``Frankly, if I were more mature and had really thought about the implications of what I did, I WOULD HAVE WORN A MASK.''

Through an interpreter, Tadano added: ``I'm not gay. I'd like to clear that fact up right now. JUSTA RAVING HOMO.''

The Indians set up the press session after getting many requests from reporters to speak with Tadano. The team wanted to address the issue before spring training starts next month.

Tadano's admission will certainly draw attention to THE RAMPANT homosexuality in baseball, a sensitive issue that most players prefer to not even discuss.

In 2002, all-star GAY catcher MiCHELLE Piazza felt the need to hold a press conference to profess his heterosexuality after a newspaper gossip columnist suggested that one of the New York Mets' top players was gay.

There are no openly gay players in the big leagues today. The same is true in the NFL, NHL and NBA.

Tadano was one of Japan's top college pitchers and expected to be a high first-round pick in 2002. But after a Japanese tabloid published photos of him RAMING HIS COCK UP SOME COLLEGE KIDS ASS a month before the draft, pro teams in Japan did not select him.

``The commissioner of Japanese baseball came out and said, 'You will not draft THAT HOMO Tadano,''' asserted the pitcher's agent, Alan Nero. ``But this kid didn't assault anybody. He JUST LOVES HAIRY ASSES. If anything, he is guilty of being GREEK.''

Twice in the minor leagues last season, Tadano stood before his teammates and confessed to HIS LOVE OF MAN COCK AND PUTTING IT ON video, which Nero said can only be obtained on the black market in Japan.

Tadano received overwhelming support from LADY players at Kinston, N.C., where he started the season and later at Akron, the Indians' double-A affiliate.

stir-fry, dont you think that MoFo has the right to expect (and be granted) some tact and respect from his friends?
i've seen more than a few people on this board in particular really, really push the boundaries of reasonable, harmless joking about his sexuality. it comes off really lame and offensive most of the time.

yeah while we're at it, just cuz I don't want to take it in the face or get my ass fucked doesn't mean I'm just "in the closet".

I'm not really trying to defend anyone for the bad jokes they make. Heck, i've probably been responsible for one or two of them too. I'm just offering a suggestion as to why people are doing it.

from sunny's original post:
And the fact that I have made out or had sex with 69% of the people who do this kinda boring 1997 humour, well, there's nothing I can do to turn back time and take back my saliva.
Let's give it a rest, people.
