i wish they would make a movie just out of the porn bits starring ewan macgregor and his scottish bad bits.

probably won't happen though.

:(

rents, you buy the book and i'll read it beside you on a train and annoy you by telling you how good it is every five minutes again.

I also enjoyed Nightmares even though I didn't get to finish it all.

I was really intrigued by Filth's concept but really disappointed in the actual book.

He's losing his sex appeal each year, eh?

The haircut in A Life Less Ordinary really did it for me. Ugh.

And Moulin Rouge? Eek.
That really bad Ashley Judd film as well.
And don't forget the Star Wars debacle.

firstly, you NEED to finish Nightmares...the ending is were it's at...

Secondly, i agree with you on Filth...his weakest and darkest piece...it regurgitated alot of his old work...i still like it, but it doesn't touch most of his other pieces.

damn, i'm in full agreement with you again...

in Trainspotting he had a great look...he really suited the shaven head, emaciated look...and those messy jeans did the biz...

although, he did look like a right twat in Shallow Grave....which was b4 Trainspotting...i think he lot 30 pounds for Trainspotting

it says on his website that it'll be out around August...

I agree, no other author has had such a profound effect on me than Welsh...his characters are realistic and believeable...remind of some poeple i grew up with in the UK...

I remember reading somewhere about the book being released in may. But that was back in december, so they most likely changed the date. What's his website's addy?

dude, some of his characters remind of people I grew up with in Poland. That's how good he is. All of his books were translated into Polish, and are extremely popular. I even read a translation of Trainspotting. It was fucking excellent, with "polish schemie" slang replacing the original. Glue was probably the most fun I've had reading, ever. Can't wait for the new one, the best news this month so far!

That has much to do with the fact that Polish and British lower-middle class' are very similar to each other.
