Basically interested in iptv service that can be configured into Kodi that has a good track record with Canadian US and UK chanels. And good VOD (recent episodes, movies).

Trials underway with both Vader and Rocket; via Nvidia Shield (android). So far great live tv (Canadian, US, sports), haven't had a chance to get into movies.... Search is not good in the VOD...

Oh u got the shield eh?

Been thinking about that for the rents, think older generations can fiddle with the Shield ok? Looked easy enough...

    The Nvidia shield is fantastic.

I've reupped both vader and Rocket for 3 months. The on demand video search is a joke, however the EPG and channel selection of TV and live events is easy and vast.

so the movies selection is no good?

Millions of movies, tv shows on demand, I just haven't determined whether I'm missing something on their respective android apps.

For reference, I haven't tried their support ticketing system yet, or tried the service through a regular web browser yet either.

How are the quality of the movie streams? I got cable and netflix(great for shows and docs) movies is the missing link.

    Better than Kodi add-ons.

Movies selection isn't as good as what you'd find on kodi. These 2 service providers do live tv station streams and sports well, with decent on demand for recent TV.

After nearly 3 month's I'll resubscribe for Vaderstreams, and look for another provider to replace Rocketstreams (too much buffering).

The usual places all seem to be dropping like flies recently according to my friend, big IP sweeps I guess.
Goddammit people I just want to watch old quiz shows from back home on challengeTV lol.

Thanks for the info. At the moment I am using a generic IPTV sub from a contact that has most of the canadian stuff and works well, but lacks some of the more recent stuff, will be checking out Vader for sure.

Been using BeastTV through an Amazon Firestick 4K for about a month now. Absolutely LOVE it. Every North American channel, UK, premium sports, PPV movies and events, +24/7 options if you missed a show and don’t have a PVR. Amazing support via Telegram. If something goes down, it’s generally back up right away. They’re really ramping up the content. The menus - while changing as they develop - are the best of any I’ve seen. Incredible picture quality!!!!

$15/month. You can also get a combo with BeastTv and Vader Streams for $20, so you’re double-covered. Check Reddit for the reseller with the best deal. :)

Couple 'senior' questions - I assume you can get Turner Classic Movies with IPTV? Is the video quality steady and consistent? That's the only channel I miss from cable.

Aye. ...among other sources for classic movies and shows. EVERYTHING is there. I’ve had 99% uptime on everything I’ve watched so far. When something does go down, they’re on it right away. Granted, I don’t watch much TV, except HBO. ...but that’s why I’m happy paying $15/m for the lot instead of dishing out over $100 to Rogers or Bell.

Picture quality is crisp. Try it for a month and decide for yourself.

I've got Vader and Beast combo going on 4k fire stick and an Nvidia shield. Good times.

^Absolutely. I’ve already ordered 2 more sticks. Need one for travel! BeastTV/Vader allow 3 simultaneous streams. It’s ridiculous, really. :)

With the north american broadcast rights for premier league moving to Dazn next year I was looking at Firestick option - do you know offhand if through BeastTV I'll just be able to pick up the UK feed (Canal Plus) and not have to worry about a Dazn subscription??

There are multiple feeds for major broadcasts, some work, some of the time. Some don't. No way to tell.

Thanks for that... yeah I'm going to keep doing research and wait until closer to the start of next season. Best option might just be Amazon Firestick and Dazn subscription... cheers!

If it were me, I'd get a firestick 4k and when the time comes get a month subscription for Vader as well as Beast, and take it from there.

Thanks to the contributors in this thread I tried IPTV and am loving it. Just using Beast TV so far, mainly for TCM. One minor annoyance I have is every now and then the video will unexpectedly 'rewind' and bounce back a minute or two, forcing you to rewatch what you just saw.

Just curious if others experience this or if it's maybe due to my android box (Abox A1) which I understand is pretty crappy.

    Thanks all.
