I think tanning is nasty. If you do it for a long time your skin starts to lose its elasticity and becomes leathery, like the above mentioned woman in Something about Mary.Originally posted by Disco Stu
Used to do it
But then I realized it's pretty damn pointless
The sickest thing ever is when you see those old men and women who go tanning and they look like their skin is made of leather ... ewwwwww ... just like the old woman in Something About Mary
I think it would be funny when you answer the phone to say 'welcome to Hooker Burger, how can I help you?'Originally posted by venus
I work in a tanning salon and see hundreds of people come in and tan, male and female. On the other hand all of my guy friends say it is gay and the concept is too "weird".
**Indoor tanning, What are your thoughts?**
I saw this guy on Conan O'Brian, and he has this shit that he rubs on his face to make it look like he has a tan. No beds or sun with this guy, just some kind of product in a jar that he puts on his face.Originally posted by vench
UV rays are what give you a tan, whether it's outside or inside...Originally posted by pr0nstar
...of controlled Sun is better that hours outside with pollution and UV rays
OMG another thing that'll kill me eventually.Originally posted by PosTMOd

Concentrated UV (i.e. tanning bed) over your whole body is pretty bad... 15 minutes in a tanning bed is equivalent to smoking a pack of cigarettes in its carcinogenic potential (skin cancer vs. lung cancer <----- let's have a death match).
There is no such thing as a "healthy tan".
Melanoma... mmm, yum.
Not all of us are like thatOriginally posted by Stormshadow
Most people that go to tanning salons look too fake and well, just gross.
Like all the girls in London. Fucking Western sluts.
Absolutely... same with cigarettes-- smoke safely and moderately...Originally posted by venus
Cancer from a tanning bed is only caused by continuous burning. Tan safely and moderately and it is ok.
