Aphria Enters into Supplier Agreement with Shoppers Drug Mart

Conference call December 4, 2017 at 5:30 pm ET

Leamington, Ontario – December 4, 2017 – Aphria Inc. (“Aphria” or the “Company”) (TSX: APH and US OTC: APHQF) today announced that it has entered into an agreement to become a medical cannabis supplier to Shoppers Drug Mart.

Under the terms of the agreement the Company will supply Aphria branded medical cannabis products. Subject to Health Canada’s approval of Shoppers Drug Mart’s application to be a licensed producer, the products will be sold online, as Canadian regulations currently restrict the sale of medical cannabis in retail pharmacies.

“We have an impeccable record cultivating and producing high-quality, medical-grade cannabis,” said Vic Neufeld, CEO of Aphria. “These traits make us a strong partner for an organization looking to serve and support Canadian patients.”

...and other than your aunt Mary and Great uncle Tobias, it doesn’t make a lick of difference to how this all plays out. The market has spoken.

100 years late to the party, with a heavy dose of apprehension only lengthen the time it takes for consumers to realize there’s a better, pre-existing option.

I'm okay with the medicinal weed selling - it stays in line with their corporate policy.

It's the cops that are getting in on this that piss me off and sends the wrong message and image to the public.

if they're making this public then it's highly likely their application from 2016 has resulted in the legislation being revised to allow pharmacies to dispense marijuana as they would any other controlled substance. It only makes sense.
