The devil lives in Ikea I swear it. You can not go in there without coming out with a bunch of crap you don't want and can't afford. Its true, its impossible to walk through and not pick up a tonne of stuff you don't need and shouldn't buy.

    The devil owns Ikea.

jeremy -and shoppers drug mart too- jive

I like how when you get it home and try to put stuff together it is always missing that 1 stupid fitting, but then there is extras of a different one.

    Seconds that...
I was at my friends last night and he just bought these chairs...arguably THE most uncomfortable chairs in the world...
He must have been possessed when he bought them...

The people who pack the boxes of furniture aren't exactly mental giants.

I can open a box that's supposed to contain the parts for a piece of furniture and know with 100% certainty know that something will be missing. Now THAT'S great quality control.

I like the word "know" so much, I insert it randomly in my sentences. Know?

when i moved to toronto i actually thought about getting those chairs, but then i sat in one and decided it would be a very bad purchase. i know someone who has one and he hates it, it just sits there for show.
i like ikea, i personally have never had a bad ikea experience. i still have all my furniture from there from like 10 years ago.
but i dont go shopping there on weekends. must be early to middle week.

Somebody needs to send that to their ad agency. Thats pure gold. Ikea has great stuff when it fits together right but its usually off in shape and size or its missing pieces.

jeremy -and its a bitch to return it- jive

hey, some stuff they have is super cheap. compared with other furniture stores, they are so cheap and fairly nice. it's the only place where you can buy half decent stuff that looks cool for an ok price. for example, a kind of cool couch at ikea will cost around 300-400, but at somewhere like the brick/leons you'd have to pay 800 for anything that doesn't look like a pile of shit.

    CC <-still a fan.

ps. who ever thought those chairs were a good idea?! they just look painful. but as i remembered, they were only $40 or something.
