IE8 causing hyperlinked images to 'shift'

I've run into an issue which is present in IE8, but not a problem in IE6 or Firefox 3. When I mouse over hyperlinked images on my website, powered by pixelpost, in IE8, the images 'shift' slightly. They return to their normal position after I move the mouse. Searching for the problem turned up some results of people that have had the same problem, but I couldn't find any solutions.

any ideas?
