ICQ keeps messing up my computer does anyone know why?

sometimes all the names on my entire contact list will just disappear....sometimes the text in the message box will disappear...sometimes it'll cause my wallpaper to make a *tiled* appearance.....

dump it and get miranda icq

database / history conversion is pretty seamless if you are using a relatively up to date version of icq

try running the dbfix.exe utility in your icq directory and see if that helps out

if not go to miranda, SO much better...not bloated, does what it needs and in general not crap

I think all my computer problems might have something to do with that kazaa BDE software.....i followed the instructions to remove it, but I couldn't find most of the files that were listed so I couldn't remove them...

Use ad aware if you want to get rid of spyware/adware etc. hassle free

miranda converts your contact list and message history on installation so everything is right there as soon as the program is installed

might want to try uninstalling kazaa completely to see if that sets things straight
