IAEA and Iran

I got a little curious about what is actually going on with these two.

Looks like there is a dispute that is not being addressed. The US seems to feel that Iran is in contravetion of some treaties and as such should be subject to sactions.

Iran seems to think that they have not only followed the treaties but that they have bettered them voluntarily.

Check out the two short statements here:

(notice the number for the link to Iran's statement http://www.iaea.org/Publications/Documents/Infcircs/2006/infcirc666.pdf, subtle!)

Another conspiracy connection

Former undercover CIA agent Valerie Plame was working to track the proliferation of nuclear material into Iran when her cover was blown by White House political operatives in the summer of 2003. The Plame outing is said to have “damaged” the administration’s ability to track Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

After hyping Iraqi nuclear threat in 2002-03, conservative media now doing the same with Iranian nuclear program. http://mediamatters.org/items/200605010006
