if you put 50 people on a deserted island....do you think they would evolved in the same fashion that we did after 2002 years?

A system produced from the same initial conditions won't necessarily have the same self-organization, and thusly won't necessarily have the same output as prior ones.
Think of ideas, etc, as the output of a large self-organized thing: society and/or its constituent groupings are necessary, but how they are organized now is the result of chaotic, and thus largely unpredictable, forces.
