I don't think these guys are leaving their doors wide open for anyone to come in. A musician that I know that did a soundtrack for a movie had a very expensive sampler stolen by a courier, who was in and out of the place in a couple of minutes. They never caught the fucker.

This is, of course on a larger scale, but seriously, it's not that uncommon in L.A. (in BT's case) to have someone just break in and unload all kinds of shit, as some of the houses are pretty far apart. A great deal of L.A. is urban sprawl.

From the Ministry of they should have some sort of security system in place I agree, but often, many feel that just keeping the equipment in the basement or out of sight will keep theives from knowing what gear they have.

I talked to a magazine editor dude I know who confirmed it by calling Chris from Hybrid directly.. yeah they have backups.. hehe

Totally sucks ass though. I've been robbed three times.. once they gutted an entire house, took everything that wasn't nailed down. Another time when I was 15, they smashed the door to little pieces and I was there alone for three weeks.

Being robbed is a horrible horrible feeling. Stop it you robber types!

I forgot to add.. it's not really any surprise BT's studio got robbed. I just saw it recently in a magazine and he had one entire frickin wall of glass doors to the outside. I mean.. come on!

If I had a big, jillion dollar, studio like that it would be in an unmarked, windowless, fortress surrounded by a moat and attack monkeys.

I know that I had a "jillion" dollar studio setup I'd have a shitload of insurance and then claim there was a shitload more.
