I'm looking to make an html page that is simply a linked list of the files that are in the same directory. I know how to make it manually but I'm sure there is a way to automate this - it doesn't have to refresh itself or anything fancy but I would like it to be easy enough to do quickly, when I need it.

I'm doing this because I want to be able to download small mp3 ringtones from my own site using my blackberry browser and my hosting doesn't allow directory listing, so I need an index file.

Any suggestions for software?

If your web server is Apache, you can enable this in the httpd.conf file - no html necessary.

Probably have this feature in other web servers too.

edit - oops didn't read the bit about your hosting
