How long before the US annexes Canada?

Perhaps we are being to harsh in our stereotyping of Americans.
I don't think Americans are all that different from Canadians.
It's their government and some old ideas that make them an easy scapegoat.
If your predictions are true, then we need to work on fixing relations with the U.S.
They are our neighbours after all, and the most powerful nation on the planet.
Now fixing their problems, that's a whole other ball game.

sure i can, that's not remotely possible.
after paul martin and dubya's pow-wow the other day, i really think that canada is going to be bending over backwards for the us.
the real threats to our country right now is with the us restricting trade and clogging the borders.

these are the real issues between our two countries. same-sex and marijuana decrim are still somewhat taboo in formal talks right now.

I'll be less paranoid about the US when they start listening to the people again instead of themselves.

No sense borders are administrative only. As long as we are equally efficent and owned by one another it will serve no purpose.
Canada sells the US its resources at the same cost it would be for them to do it themselves. They have no incentive to annex us.
If things keep moving at the current rate the U.S is going to collapse and no longer be the super power. I'd be more concerned about how to stop that from happening or at least how to keep from being dragged down with them.
As for Paul Martin.. I've never had much faith in him and I'm very wary of what his leadership will mean for Canada both here and internationally
